I took part in the Rails Rumble 48 hour programming competition this weekend, it was good fun to participate and in the end that was all that mattered as our team gradually became just me (though I did find a partner to pair program with in the early hours :)). Putting together mowawi “Mobile Waypointing Wiki”, I was quite pleased with the result given the time… if only we’d had a full team, perhaps we could have done something interesting with the idea.

Thanks to all of the organisers, even more so to all of the teams as I’m looking forward to look at some of the cool ideas in a bit more depth.
UPDATE: looks like one of the last minute changes messed up the signup, I was developing till the very end and got caught in the stream of people trying to also do last minute changes. Disappointing yeah. Oh well, good luck everybody :)
UPDATE: thanks to deeden for pointing out this important rails rumble announcement. Thankfully I was able to fix the signup bug and add a demo account, whoop! Go check it out!
